Long discussion about porn.

Porn. That's something I could do. It's been a while, and I have all afternoon.

So I open my external HD. Click. No, not that one. Not that one either. Not that one. I don't even know why I have that one. Why do I even keep this? Okay, that one is... yeah, not feeling it right now. I'll keep VLC open, though, just in case. Click.

There's this one scene I want to see. SoftPornTube. Click. There it is. Click. Oh - it's been deleted. Maybe I'll find it on XVideos. Click. There it is. Click. Oh - that's the same page. It's been deleted. Maybe it's somewhere on Pornhub? That's unlikely. Click. No, it's not there.

I'll find something else. YouPorn? Click. RedTube? Click. Ancensored? Click. Chaturbate? Click. She's pretty, but I'm more interested in hearing her talk about Death Note than watching her get off. Okay, maybe there's something good on Twitter or one of the blogs. Click. I've read all of these. Damn it.

My hands are a blur as I open window after window. Unfinished erotica shorts. Dead blogs still active. Porn on Tumblr. Picture after picture after picture after...

Click. Click. Click. Click. Click.

Stop, ILB! Stop! STOP!

I stop. Close all the windows. Breathe in.

What, exactly, do I want to do?

Open VLC. Watch a couple having orgasms together. Bring myself off afterwards. Go downstairs, make a cup of tea, go to bed and have a lie-down. Feel better.

Porn is an interesting topic. Going to be writing an article about it over next week for my own blog. I have enjoyed reading some of your posts and after this one was interested to read that it at had "been a while" since you trawled through porn. Its not something you would do a few times a week? And do you always get off after watching or sometimes do you just watch for the enjoyment/entertainment value? Hope you don't mind me asking...

Not at all, feel free to ask!

Trawling through porn isn't something I do several times a week, no. I have very specific tastes in porn and I actually own a lot of the porn I watch (on DVD or digitally downloaded and stored on a CD-R or on my external HD), so when I need it, it's always there for me.

Seeing as how all the porn I watch has, for want of a better word, a plot, yes - I do sometimes watch the whole thing for the storyline (loose as it may be). I think that, without a carefully crafted scenario, a lot of the enjoyment of the sex in lost: who's having sex, why they're having sex, etc. Some of the soft porn I've watched has kept me interested, either without an orgasm at all or post-orgasm when I watch the rest: examples being The Night That Never Happened with Lisa Boyle, The Regina Pierce Affair with CC Costigan, and Russ Meyer's Supervixens!.

Trawling through hardcore on tube sites takes away from that entertainment value and prolongs the fact that I'm not having an orgasm... and really, who's got time for that?

thank you - i do like some HC porn but dont watch very often. I am in my 40's and when young porn was something a few of us may watch as a movie together, not getting off to it unless alone with boyfriend. Now, like several other things its frequently a solitary affair.

I'm in my early 30s and I can honestly say I've never watched porn with anyone except a girlfriend. Every lover I've watched porn with has had a different taste from me (that's the thing about porn, it's so varied!), so when watching porn to get off, it has to be a solo effort. I like watching porn to analyse it, though; with someone else, that's fine!
